Damien BARCHICHE heads the Sustainable Development Governance programme, which focuses on the official Sustainable Development Agenda - Agenda 2030, development financing, the trade agenda - but also on emerging modes of governance.
A graduate of Sciences Po Paris and CERDI, Damien has worked since 2006 in NGOs, at the United Nations and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs on sustainable development and governance issues, before joining IDDRI in 2018.
He was directly involved in the French presidency of the G20 and G8, the reform of the Committee on World Food Security, and initiatives to strengthen the coordination of international organizations (UN High Level Task Force on Global Food and Nutrition Security - HLTF). He was also France's focal point for the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES).

Mr. Idesbald Chinamula Vuningoma is the General Director of the National Agency for Electrification and Energy Services in Rural and Suburban Areas – ANSER – of the DRC. A socio-economist by training, he has 20 years of experience in dealing with issues related to poverty and sustainable development, including 10 years of scientific research on community development models and approaches.
Before leading ANSER, Mr. Chinamula spent 5 years at UNDP as Coordinator of the Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development Pillar, Country Advisor for energy solutions in the DRC, Specialist in environmental issues, climate change and Green Economics.
In the implementation of ANSER programs whose mission is electrification and energy services, Mr. Chinamula ensures that electricity does not simply bring lighting to households but participates in a transformation of the socio-economic fabric of beneficiary communities while taking into account gender related issues.

During his Telecom studies, in 1993, Jean-Baptiste went to Burkina Faso to build a school. The impact of the lack of infrastructure left its mark on him.
At the beginning of his career in telecoms, he took part in the internet revolution, technology can change the world. In 2003, he went to Somalia to manage the operations of Action Against Hunger. Mobile phones are everywhere and electricity nowhere.
Back in France, Jean-Baptiste resumed his career in telecoms as Sales Director for Europe Middle East Africa at Thomson Telecom.
In 2012, after an MBA at Essec, Jean-Baptiste builds on his experiences and starts rural electrification company
At Qotto, Jean-Baptiste focuses on strategy and partnership management.

Also Played a significant role in Alkan CIT for 17 years starting off as Egypt and Sudan’s Deputy Implementation Manager covering the African Gulf regions, and ending his journey with Alkan as the CEO of Africa, managing 13 legal entities in different countries with 200+ employees. Demonstrated successful execution of business strategies for company products and services, while implementing and maintaining ISO quality standards.
